IM BACK!!! And hope to stay:)

Well after taking 2 years off from my short lived blog I am back. I opened the blog up the other day, and I loved reading the old posts and stories . So I have decided to start blogging again. It will just be about what is going on in our life. I mostly want to start blogging again so I can keep track of stories and memories along this journey. If you read this hope you enjoy.

A lot has happend in the last 2 years. The biggest of them all is we welcomed a new member to our family this fall. I have 2 boys and having fun. Let me tell you, life with 2 kids is a BIG change and it has rocked my world. I am finally starting to figure out a routine. My hubby and I used to say "what did we do before kids", when we had Jacob and now we say "what did we do w just one kid....it was easy". So I guess someday when we add a 3rd to the mix it wont be so shocking because we will be used to the chaos. At least that is what everyone tells me.

Busy Boy

We dont have anything to exciting going on. I am keeping busy chasing after Jacob. He has decided to lift his belly off the floor when he crawls so he is everywhere, walking around stuff and even falling, I think he is learning to appreciate gravity. He is always making new sounds and faces daily. We hosted small group the other night and he was quit the show off. I am excited this weekend my brother moves back from New York, so now the whole family will be together for a short while so I am going to plan family pics. I think we are going to try and get some landscaping done, we have been trying for weeks now but we have had non-stop rain. I am ready for nice weather.

Branson

Our 4 year anniversary was this past week so we decided to take a trip to Branson. We rented a cabin on Tabor Rock Lake. It was so relaxing and nice to get away, Luke was able to fish and caught a huge cat fish. We went to a wine festival, there were wine vendors from all over Missouri, there was also cheese and chocolate vendors, I think we might make it an annual event. We also toured the Titanic museum, did some shopping and ate at some great restaurants. We took Jacob and he did such a great job being out and about all day.

Circus Parade

The circus is in town this weekend and they had a parade to start it all off. They had a lot of old cars and tigers, elephants, and camels. We thought Jacob would love it, he did enjoy looking at the animals but all of the loud nosies from the cars scared him. I have never seen him cling to us so hard. Overall the parade was short and sweet.

Just Having Fun!!

Easter

We had a great Easter, we traveled to Nebraska to spend some time with my family. It was nice to all be together again ( minus Jared who is in NY). We started the trip out sat am, we stopped to get gas and when Luke went to put the nozzle in the hole the hose fell off from the top and gas started spraying everywhere above Luke. He jumped into the car and drove off real fast, so all the way to Salina we drove with the windows down to help get the gas smell off of Luke. We then spent the evening at my aunts house where she made a ton of great food and desserts. The older I get the more I realize how much work goes into having family get togethers. Thanks moms!! Sun we got up and went to church and then had Easter lunch at my Grandmas, and off to see my other aunts new kitchen and had dessert. We ate way to much but it was great to be able to just spend time together.

YUMMY!!

So here are a few easy recipes that I have recently made....

Peanut Butter Frosting

Bake a chocolate cake...I just used the box

1 box powdered sugar
1/2 cup creamy (or nutty) peanut butter
1 stick butter or margarine
1/3 cup milk
1tsp vanilla

Melt the butter, milk, peanut butter and let come to boil (takes about
2mins)
Remove from heat, pour over the powdered sugar and mix well, add vanilla
beat til creamy and frost the cake when warm. Frosting will be a little
thick but
spreads nicely over warm cake.

Mexican Dip

2 C cheese, any kind
1 can refried beans
1 TBSP onions
2 C cooked cut up chicken
1 C salsa

I just mixed all together and put in crock pot
